THE ROOT: Wheeled Warriors FAQ: Brock & the Zoggies Questions
|
Brock & The Zoggies
Where did Brock come from? Where did the Zoggies come from? Were they created from plants like Flora?
Brock was created by Audric to be Flora's companion. He is not plant-based like Flora. He was most likely created by simple genetic engineering. The Zoggies were also created to be Flora's companions, although it is not clear if they were made by Gillian or Audric. The Zoggies are purely mechanical, not plant-based.
Why do Brock and the Zoggies pester Oon so much?
Oon is their primary form of entertainment. He overreacts to everything they do, usually in a highly amusing way. The Zoggies, for their part, seem to be genuinely affectionate of the squire. This may be because Oon is made of metal, like they are. It may also be because Oon is the only Lightning League member other than Flora who is even remotely close to their size.
Am I crazy, or did I see lasers come out of the Zoggies' noses?
You're not crazy. Every Zoggie has extendable lasers that come out of its nostrils. They use these small lasers to free Oon from a large strawberry in The Silver Crusaders.
What are the Zoggies' names?
The Zoggies have no official names. When differentiating, fans generally call them Zoggie 1, Zoggie 2, and Zoggie 3. But no one can agree on which Zoggie is 1, which is 2, and which is 3! When discussing the Zoggies, it's probably best to indicate a specific pup by its color -- Blue Zoggie, Yellow Zoggie, or Orange Zoggie.
Are the Zoggies male or female?
The Zoggies are neither. They're gender-neutral robots. (Lizzard's Note: Based on the way they behave, I'd say they're more male than anything, but that's just my personal opinion.)
Is Brock male or female?
Brock is male. The fish is consistently called a "he" in the series. In addition, Brock is a male name. Just because he's pink doesn't mean he's a girly fish.
What does Brock eat?
(Lizzard's Note: A fish that big? Whatever he wants.) Brock ate a piece of orange-colored fruit in What's Going On, but other than that Brock is never seen eating in the series.
Why does Brock's voice change from episode to episode?
In about one-half of the episodes, Brock's voice is a series of rubber-ducky squeaks. In the remaining half his voice is like birdsong. This most likely occurs because the sound technicians on the show decided to change the effect halfway through series production. Why did they change the effect? No one knows. But whatever possessed them to do so also possessed them to change Oon's voice at the same time.
