Braintrust

The Pride nearly collides with an out-of-control Science Ark from Geddon IV. Jayce goes on board the Ark to find out what's going on.

After helping Professor I'Lah regain control of the ship, she reveals to him that the Monster Minds are using false messages from Audric to lure the best scientists in the universe to Geddon IV, where they are forced to perform hideous experiments and create new weapons. Jayce makes plans to go planetside in order to rescue the captive scientists.

Professor I'Lah and the other Ark scientists agree to go on to imprisonment on Geddon IV so that the Monster Minds will not become suspicious. Most of the League members and vehicles go undercover on the Ark as well. Herc keeps the Pride hidden behind a nearby planet while waiting for their signal.

The Ark lands at the central building of the science center, which is linked to four outside towers. Dr. Orbis, a old friend of Audric's, greets them when they arrive. The League members arrange to meet with him in a private place and reveal their mission to him. Dr. Orbis agrees to help the scientists escape.

Yet as soon as the League's back is turned, Dr. Orbis reports the plan to Saw Boss. Oon discovers the betrayal, but he is discovered himself and promptly imprisoned, along with Dr. Orbis.

Jayce and the League vehicles engage the Monster Mind troopers in combat while Flora, Gillian, and Professor I'Lah free the scientists. Gillian takes over the central computer and cuts off the four towers from one another. Jayce rescues Oon and Dr. Orbis. Then everyone escapes on board the Ark. The ship makes it into the upper atmosphere before it is discovered that the ship has been sabotaged by the Monster Minds.

But the Monster Minds didn't count on Herc! Herc arrives with the Pride, rescues everyone, and escapes back into space well before the Ark crashes into the main building on Geddon IV. This causes a chain reaction that blows up the entire planet, and the Monster Minds with it.
