"Double Deception"
From a testing station near their home planet, the Monster Minds launched a rocket powered by a special fuel, called myrrin. It travelled at a "phenomenal speed" and streaked past the Pride.
The Lightning League picked up a recorded signal coming from the rocket. Nitra, a native of the planet Tika, had been captured by the Monster Minds. She warned that her world's myrrin fuel, located in the stones of an ancient pyramid fought over by Tika's two colonies, Vertan and Battan, could be used to quickly infest the universe with Monster Mind forces.
The League rescued Nitra from the testing station and then traveled to Tika to alert the inhabitants to the danger. Saw Boss arrived on Tika first, and told each of the two warring colonies that the League was working for the other side. Both colonies opened fire when the Pride lands, but Jayce overloaded their weapons thanks to the Ring of Light.
With Nitra's help, he began negotiations with the leaders of the colonies. By the time Jayce convinced them to listen, the Monster Mind troopers had begun to attack the planet. The enemy forces captured the generators used to power the colonies' weapons. The League members and all of the planet's inhabitants joined forces to fight the Monster Minds.
Gillian created a neutralizer that would cancel the effects of the reprogrammed generators. Brock brought it to Jayce, and the natives' generators were neutralized along with their Monster Mind guards, forcing Saw Boss to retreat.
Jayce asked both colonies to call a truce with each other, but they declared that peace was impossible as long as the ancient pyramid was in dispute. Gillian translated the hieroglyphics inside of it and discovered that both colonies came from common ancestors. It belonged to both sides! Vertan and Battan ended their war, and the League left Tika in peace.
Herc: "That's a Monster Mind missile! Why, we'll be going to the Monster Minds' front door!"
Oon: "The M-M-Monster Mind planet?!"
Flora: "Oh, how exciting!"
Jayce: "We got your message."
Flora: "We've come to save you!"
Nitra: "Oh, thank you, thank you! I can't believe someone's finally come!"
Herc: "I'm looking forward to you, ah, showing me the sights on Tika."
Nitra: "The only real sight on Tika is our ancient pyramid."
Herc: "Moonlight by the pyramid, just the two of us. Heh, sounds kinda romantic, doesn't it?"
Oon: "I'll come too!"
Jayce: "RING OF LIGHT, MAGIC MIGHT!"
Nitra: "I don't understand why they attacked!"
Gillian: "Clearly, both sides perceive us as a threat."
Herc: "Hmmm... touchy folks, these Tikans!"
Nitra: "Don't you see? Saw Boss has deceived you!"
Jayce: "He's turned you against each other!"
Battan Leader: "If he's as bad as you say, how can we do anything about it?"
Jayce: "Combined forces of good can always defeat the forces of evil, no matter how great it may be!"
Vertan Leader: "The fighters of Vertan will help you, but I will never trust my Battan foe!"
Herc: "Hmph, nice neighbors!"
Battan Leader: "We too, will help."
Jayce: "Spike Trike, counter-offensive to the right!"
Spike Trike: "Command acknowledged!"
Saw Boss: "All you have gained is another day of survival, you foolish boy!"
Nitra: "I will never forget what you and the Lightning League have done for me and my people."
Herc: "Just to make sure, ah, why not come along with us so I can remind you?"
Oon: "And I'll be there to do anything you wanted!"
(Nitra and Oon laughed, then she kissed him, much to Herc's chagrin)
Nitra: "Thank you both, but I must say goodbye now."
Herc: "Um, ah... (After she left them both) Nice going, Tinhead! I had her in the palm of my hand, till you showed up! She was crazy about me! But could you stay out of the way..."
