"Gateworld"
The Pride was lost in space. Herc declared that he wouldn't use "one drop of remaining fuel" flying around blindly. The word "Gateworld" flashed on Flora's screen, and Gillian explained that a Gateworld had a magical Gateway built by "brilliant scientists several thousand years ago" that could be used to travel anywhere. He had visited one 800 years ago and knew how to operate the device, so the League opted to chance it, with Gillian magically modifying the scanner to find Gateworld.
They touched down in a stone circle surrounded by Stonehenge-type boulders, and Jayce, Gillian, and Oon left to activate the Gate. Flora and Brock ventured on top of the barge to get much-needed fresh air with the latter flying off, enjoying the freedom. Suddenly, Monster Mind vehicles attacked the Pride. At the same time, they chased the League members on the ground through the tunnel leading to the Gateway's control mechanism. Jayce used Armed Force's lasers to derail the troopers in front of the brigade, their fallen forms blocking the others' path. This brought enough time for Gillian to re-read the instructions and activate the Gate. They raced back to the barge to prepare for the teleportation.
Brock couldn't get back on board because of all the Monster Minds attacking the ship, so Flora slipped down to the Number Three Emergency Hatch and called down a dark blue bald eagle to help her find him. The others soon discovered her disappearance, but it was too late to leave for her; the ship had already started to enter the Gate. Its technology wouldn't function and magical powers were suspended, including those of Gillian and the Ring of Light. Once on the other side, Herc fought off the enemy troopers that followed them through while Jayce used the Ring of Light to magically hold the Gate open, driving back through to retrieve Flora and Brock.
Meanwhile, Flora and Brock barely kept ahead of the Monster Mind troopers chasing them on Gateworld. Brock was wounded badly, but Flora received assistance from a healing-sap plant, curing his injury with its liquid. They decided to fly to the stone circle to rest. Just as the Monster Mind vehicles started firing on them again, Jayce came back through the Gate.
Jayce, Flora, and Brock dashed through the portal just as it closed. A red tractor beam pulled them through the Gate to the other side, where the rest of the Lightning League was waiting. After a very relieved reunion, they picked up Audric's signal again and continued on their journeys.
Flora: "Eagle! Help me, please!"
Gillian: "It's been almost eight hundred years -- I'd better read the instructions. 'First, insert the key into the keyhole, and then enter the destination coordinates, then wait thirty minutes for the Gate to open.'"
Saw Boss: "Follow them! You must get the key and the Root!"
Jayce: "Where's Flora?"
Herc: "Ah, she's around somewhere."
Jayce: "Herc, Number Three Emergency Hatch is open."
Herc: "Uh-oh! I don't think she's on the ship, kid!"
Jayce: "We have to get outta here and get her."
Gillian: "It's too late! We're entering the Gate and have no control until we reach our destination."
Flora: "Don't worry, Brock, you'll be okay. I'll get you to the barge."
Jayce: "We have to go back and get Flora!"
Herc: "HOW?! Nothing's working!"
Jayce: "Ring of Light, Magic Might!"
(The Ring stays quiet)
Gillian: "All mystical powers are suspended while we're in the Gate! Even my magic won't work here."
Herc: "Jayce, where are you going?!"
Jayce: "I've gotta find Flora!"
Herc: "The Gate's too small now for the barge to pass back through!"
Jayce: "The barge can't, but Armed Force can! And THEN I can use the Ring!"
Saw Trooper: "Your Excellency, they've escaped!"
Saw Boss: "What about the child and the fish?"
Saw Trooper: "We're searching now!"
Saw Boss: "Find them! The little one will be perfect bait. Jayce must come back to rescue her! Ready for the attack!"
Jayce: "Some Monster Minds got through!"
Herc: "You just get Flora, hotshot -- I'll take care of them."
Jayce: "Thanks, Herc, see you later!"
Herc: "Hey kid, wait a minute! Let me have your freeze ray before you go!"
Jayce: "One freeze ray for Stack'N'Attack, coming up!"
Gillian: "...If the Gate closes with you inside, you'll be trapped!"
Oon: "Trapped?!"
Gillian: "Between realities for eternity!"
Saw Boss: "YOU FOOL! I knew your weakness! Your soft heart would bring you back for the child! Troopers, destroy the Root, AND the boy!"
Gillian (saddened): "I fear we have lost them."
Oon (crying): "What will he do without me?"
Herc (mourning): "They were okay, those kids. That -- silly fish, too."
Herc (excitedly): "Look -- Gillian!"
Gillian (joyfully): "There they are!"
Jayce (happily): "Am I glad to see you! Now let's get some fuel, pick up Father's signal, and find him!"
Herc: "We've got the signal again! Y'know, I got a feeling we're gonna find him this time."
Jayce: "Now you're talking, hotshot!"
