Princess Malayla
After escaping a Monster Mind ambush, the Lightning League rushed through space to warn the nearby inhabitants of the upcoming invasion.
Their first stop was Pax, where they were confronted by the Oracle, a large projected image that looked just like Audric! Unfortunately, it didn't have his voice. The Oracle ordered the League to leave as soon as the people have restocked the Pride's supplies.
Jayce asked Herc to watch for Monster Minds and cover for the rest of the League while they investigated the Oracle. Herc accepted the supplies and then took off, pretending to leave the planet for good. The others travelled through a dense forest leading to a castle. Along the way, they ran into more holograms set up as defenses. They entered the castle to discover a beautiful young lady in a motorized wheelchair. She was Princess Malayla, the woman who had ruled Pax for the last five years. Her father built an image projector to create holograms because he thought that the people of Pax would never accept a handicapped girl as their ruler. Malayla chose Audric's form to be her alter-ego, wanting to project a "powerful yet gentle" image to her people.
Jayce warned Malayla about the coming Monster Mind invasion in time for Flora to sense the onslaught. Gillian converted her image projector into a force field machine while the League battles the arriving Monster Mind forces. (Lizzard's Note: Believe it or not, the force field machine that Gillian creates shoots out electrical bolts, which turn the Monster Mind vines into brown stone and then shatter them. It doesn't actually shield anything.) During the battle, the people ran to the castle for safety. Malayla lead them to the League's Battle Base. When Jayce granted them entrance, Malayla blew away the enemy troops using Battle Base's lasers.
After the fighting was over, the League waited with Malayla as the people picked their next ruler. They unanimously chose Malayla to be their Queen, despite her prior deception. Malayla promised to warn the other planets of the system about the Monster Minds, and waved goodbye with her people as the Pride left Pax.
