"Unexpected Troubles"

The Lightning League set course for Zeron III, "the universe's junk planet," to contact Audric and determine his location. They would do so by utilizing the world itself, which was covered with enough metal to make it a master antenna capable of sending and receiving radio signals anywhere in the universe.

Iana, an eccentric old lady, shot at the Pride when they attempted to land. She and her endangered animals wished to live there in peace, without interference from visitors, to build a new home away from the encroachments of civilization.

The Monster Minds attacked the League, but ended up buried beneath tons of old junk metal. Afterwards, the animals caused some problems, interfering with the League's mission. A large tyrannosaur-like animal named Goliath tried to wreck the vehicles and step on Armed Force, but fortunately Iana stopped him. The Lepids munched on anything made of circuitry and metal -- namely the Pride, Lightning League vehicles, and related equipment. (Lizzard's Note: The Lepids are Barbie-pink, tribblesque little scaled down pieces of evil with feet.) The Lepids were finally driven off after being exposed to Oon's "itchy" spray polish. The Monster Mind vehicles attacked again, but were beaten back by the Lightning League. Iana's animals helped after Flora saved a Lepid from being run over by a Saw Trooper, realizing that it was the only way to save their world. Gillian's tracking machine finally located Audric's signal, and the League left Zeron III in the care of Iana.

Memorable Quotes

Jayce: "I'm not getting a signal. Something's bending the radio waves."
Flora: "Maybe it's the magic on Oon's Lance."
Oon: "Oh dear, heh I never thought it could... that it would..."
Herc: "Easy, Tin Can, it's not your fault -- this time."

Flora: "'Junk Planet?' It doesn't sound like a very nice place."
Herc: "Eh, it isn't, Flower-Face. You could probably find parts of the first spaceship ever built if you dig deep enough."
Flora: "Well, maybe Oon can find one of his ancestors down there."
Oon: "I can find anything! What's an ancestor?"

Gillian: "If I'm right, we can use this planet for our benefit. What we have here, my friends, is a master antenna. With the whole planet covered with metal, we can send radio signals anywhere in the universe."
Herc: "And we can receive radio signals from anywhere!"
Jayce: "That means we can contact my father!"
Herc: "Yeah, ask for money."

Jayce: "Herc, set our course for Zeron III!"
Herc: "You got it, hotshot. We find your old man, I get paid!"

Jayce: "We won't let them stop us!"
Gillian: "You're sounding more like your father every day, Jayce."
Herc: "Yeah, well I'm for sounding like 'we're high-tailing it outta here!'"

Oon: "B-B-But, Master, won't it be dangerous?"
Herc: "Dangerous?! Nooo... all we gotta do is get through that! Why, it's like being a duck in a shooting gallery!"

Herc: "Just might make it... if I can push it hard enough."

Jayce: "All vehicles, Attack Plan L-3."
Armed Force, Drill Sergeant, & Spike Trike: "Command acknowledged!"

Saw Boss: "Sergeant Polanda, change course for Zeron III. Make sure the Lightning League does not leave that planet."

Jayce: "HEY! Somebody's shooting at us!"
Herc: "Yeah! At least they're a bad shot."

Jayce: "We've taken damage again, Herc!"
Herc: "Tell me about it, hotshot."

Herc: "The weed-heads created enough damage, but you had to go and add to it!"
Iana: "I don't know anything about 'weed-heads!' I'm simply demanding that you leave!"
Herc: "For someone who doesn't own this place, you're demanding a LOT, lady -- forget it!"

Herc: "Man, she's got nothing but space dust between her ears!"

Jayce: "All vehicles, Battle Plan: Drop Trap!"

Saw Boss: "That cursed boy is clever, but he'll meet his match when my vines get there!"

Jayce: "Come on, Armed Force -- I know you won't let us down!"

Herc: "Don't bother saying thanks -- just protecting my investment!"

Iana: "My poor creatures have no other place to go -- their natural homes have been destroyed by so-called 'civilization,' pushing 'em out or killing 'em!"
Flora (shocked): "How terrible!"
Jayce: "How sad for us... until now, I've only seen Gronks in books!"

Saw Boss: "Finally, we have the insufferable boy and his Root! And we'll get his meddlesome father too! Once the old wizard makes contact, Audric will come RUNNING! The victory of the Black Light is at hand!"

Jayce: "That's it, Gillian! You've done it! You've located Father!"
Herc: "Ohhh, I can almost smell payday!"

Jayce: "This has to be the time, Father -- the time we finally find you! Lightning Strikes!"
