FLING SHOT
Toy Made:   No
Function:   Combat Vehicle
Special Equipment:
- Disk-Launcher Cue:
Catapult which launches Fling Shot's various projectile disks. The cue can also be used in reverse to pick up objects with suction. The following types of projectiles are employed during the course of the series.
- Explosive Disks:
These explode on the ground beneath Monster Mind vehicles, throwing them off their tracks.
- Freeze Disks:
They can encase enemy troopers in solid ice.
- Photon Disks/Plates:
When shot into the air, these disks emit lightning bolts.
- Slice Disks:
These disks cut through machinery and Monster Mind vines like supercharged shrapnel.
- Net Disks:
These projectiles can trap enemy troopers in netting.
- Double-Armor Plating:
Fling Shot has twice the exterior shielding of a normal Lightning League vehicle, and thus can take multiple direct hits without suffering any damage.
Appearance:
Fling Shot is a catapult on wheels, shooting its disks like a mechanized slot-machine. It has a white body with grey and black accents. Four heavy grey wheels are connected to the vehicle by a white suspension chassis. The disk-launcher cue is a narrow channel in the middle of the vehicle's front. Fling Shot has a small window on the left front side which can be raised to let people in or out. The cockpit can comfortably hold two to three people and contains a steering wheel, a circular panel screen, and various levers, buttons, and blinking lights.
History:
Fling Shot was created by the Lightning League in the episode Stallions of Sandeen for use against the Monster Minds' new Flap Jack troopers. It is mainly used for battle but it has also been used to mine amethyst. It sometimes teams up with Spray Gunner for combined combat actions.
Flora, Jayce, and Herc are the only ones seen driving Fling Shot in the series.
